Healing has always been important to David Tara L.A.c of Three Treasures Medicine. Beginning with degrees in cellular biology and genetics, he worked as a molecular biologist and was deeply rooted in Western medicine. During 12 years at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, David learned about the marvels of modern scientific medicine, but also saw its failings.
Following his interest in alternative medicine and feeling that there must be a way to bridge the gaps in Western medicine, David took up studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
Our Services
Practicing Integrative Medicine
After graduating in 2001, David relocated to the Rogue Valley. As a practitioner of integrative medicine, which uses the best parts of various systems as appropriate, David opened Three Treasures Chinese Medicine in Medford in 2002.
Since then, David has completed a year-long training in Alchemical Acupuncture for spiritual transformation. Alchemical Acupuncture is ancient spirit-based work done by Taoist masters and not usually taught in US acupuncture schools.
